Comet Corner

Comet Corner is our school store, offering fun and affordable items for students, including pencils, fidgets, and seasonal goodies, throughout the school year. The store operates from 7:40 AM to 8:10 AM, so please arrive promptly at 7:30 AM for your shift to set up and prepare.

As a volunteer, you'll assist students with their purchases and handle cash transactions. A PTO member will be present to open the store and provide a brief overview of the operations. Please be comfortable making quick and accurate change, as the store is cash-only, and all items are priced at $2.50 or less.

Volunteers are required to have a background check that is less than 2 years old. Thank you for helping make Comet Corner a success!

October 31st and November 21st 

Duty Free Lunch 

Duty-Free Lunch Volunteers will be covering classes in the lunch room so that teachers can step away and eat their lunch with other colleagues or have a quiet moment to themselves. 

Volunteers will be given a section of the cafeteria to look over, students may need help opening items, reminding to stay in their seat, keep a low voice level, and to clean up their trash at the end of their lunch period.

Volunteers must:

• Stay for the full shift

• Have a background check (within 2 years)

• Bring a driver’s license to check in

• Arrive 5–10 minutes early

No small children please.

December 1st through the 12th 

Holiday Shop

It is that time of year again! Our much-anticipated annual holiday fun shop is back this year. Our Holiday Shop is a PTO fundraising event that has items for students to purchase for family, friends, or even themselves. The items are gift-wrapped in bags and addressed to their recipient. Items range from $0.50 to $18.00 with majority of the items under $8.00. 

Each student will have an opportunity to come in with their class and shop. In order to make this happen, we need your help!!! 

Volunteers will be assisting students as personal shoppers to help them shop, budget their money, check out, and gift wrap their items.  Additionally, shop volunteers will be helping restock items and keep our shop tidy throughout the day.  There will be several members of PTO present to help as well.  It takes a village to run this shop and high participation is welcomed AND necessary to help run this operation smoothly.  

Volunteers are welcome to sign up for a slot that has their student's class, but are expected to stay the entire shift as well as help other students in the class.
